Welcome from Dean William Bazeyo

Family planning is a lifesaver for millions of women and children in developing countries and is one of the most cost- effective health interventions. It can also play a vital role in poverty reduction and sustainable development. I am delighted to welcome participants to the International Conference on Family Planning: Research and Best Practices with its focus on the health and wealth of families. This theme resonates loudly with our national development of ” Wealth for all” program the president’s initiative and academic priorities. We believe that investing in maternal, child and family health will surely yield high returns for Uganda and indeed the entire region.
